BABYMETAL are in the middle of a June run across Europe's major rock festivals. The band played 'Rock For People' in the Czech Republic on June 11 and head to Download Festival 2026 in Derby, UK on June 13. The first half of the month already included Sweden Rock Festival, Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, with Graspop Metal Meeting, Tons Of Rock and more still to come.
The album 'METAL FORTH' features a string of collaborations with overseas artists including Poppy and Tom Morello, deepening the band's ties to the Western metal scene. A deluxe edition and a world tour featuring Halestorm have been announced, pointing to an even larger international footprint across 2026 and 2027.
'RATATATA,' the collaboration with Electric Callboy, has passed 40 million views on YouTube and become one of the band's most-streamed songs on Spotify. Joint festival performances keep feeding social clips that, in turn, push streams — a loop that sustains the song's momentum.
Operationally, a festival run like this rests on long-term relationships with local promoters and festival organizers. Routing multiple shows to spread the cost of freight, gear, visas and crew is what makes the economics of overseas touring work.
Also Watch: 'Gimme chocolate!!'
'Gimme chocolate!!,' the song that ignited the band's overseas following, remains a festival staple and the entry point through which new listeners dig into the catalog.
ZEN Editorial View: Festival slot → social clips → streaming growth → the next booking: that loop is the basic engine of international expansion, and collaboration is the fastest way into a local scene's context — whatever the genre.
