Kazuya Kamenashi began streaming "'O sole mio," a track from his first solo album 'WAVE' due July 8, as a pre-release single on July 3. The song will also receive its first television performance on the music special 'THE MUSIC DAY 2026' (Nippon TV) on July 4.

"'O sole mio" was written by GRe4N BOYZ and takes the form of an uplifting, fast-paced live anthem. It currently serves as the image song for the professional baseball broadcast 'DRAMATIC BASEBALL 2026' and the theme for 'Going! Sports&News,' both on Nippon TV.

The album 'WAVE' contains twelve tracks. Its title reflects the waves of the heart and emotions, as well as the breadth and gradation of the songs collected on the record — a statement of intent for his full-scale solo career.

The one-week sequence — digital pre-release, a debut performance on a major TV special, then the album drop — follows the now-standard playbook of warming up conversation with an advance track before steering listeners toward the full release.

Also Watch: "Kizuna"

"Kizuna," featured on his solo best album 'Kame Best,' has long been loved as an insert song from the drama 'Gokusen.' An official live video is available, tracing how his vocal expression has evolved across his career.

From the ZEN editorial desk: bundling a tie-up and a TV debut into the same week is a textbook example of maximizing short-term momentum in the streaming era — an approach artists of any scale can learn from.
